Band is open to all woodwind, brass and percussion players with at least one year of instruction. It is recommend for incoming 9th grade musicians as well as older Skyline students. In the fall semester, this group is the Skyline Marching Band, whilst in the spring; it focuses more on concert music.
Skyline High School is the only high school in Oakland Ca that has a Marching Band.
We perform at all home football games as the Pep-Band and perform a Half-Time field show for Homecoming. In addition to performing at Skyline, we are involved in many community events around Oakland
